Different Kind of Glory

Oh, that I may grasp
The circles drawn beneath,
Whilst this forlorn path leads
Set forth and taken heed

Estranged unwantedly
Even to thine self, withdrew
Likened to a thumbleweed
Ridden the wind wings anew

Towards strange faces and dullest places.
Over what deemed inconsequential
Prolonging, circumventing
The easy way I’m accustomed.

Who discerns the reason?
Such unfathomable are your ways
For a heart who wants it easy,
Different kind of glory.
